Under the circumstances with the suspensions and new additions to the team a point away from home on the first day of the season against a fancied team is a very good point imo.
Now for a home win Tuesday!

Some negative posts on here unsurprisingly!! Let's put this in a premier league to help you along.... had Arsenal gone to Chelsea first match of season missing 5 first team players would the fans be satisfied getting a point.... hell yes! They have a manager that some fans now believe should go (as some on here believe Hurst should), a board that is not well liked for not financially matching others (similar), playing favourites for league away from home getting a point they would be chuffed not some on here. Get a bloody grip and back 'your' team or urine off and go watch Sky Sports!
Well done town today a solid start and some positives from new players to build on. Roll on Tuesday

6 first team players and a striker who joined us last night and a striker who has never played with any of these players and is not match fit.

But we weren't at the conference level version of Chelsea, they are more like the level of Villa-small budget, on the decline, constatnt change of manager, small playing squad, Arsenal would expect to win.

Yes good point away from home BUT looks like its going to be another season of boring Hurst football. Disley needs to be booted to the bench and replaced in CM by McLaughlin Mackreth is dog sh1t. To lightweight, runs in straight lines and is predictable. Think hes a bad signing. LJL really holds back this team and will cost PH his job in the end. For all LJL lovers hes sh1t The rest of lads put in a good shift and did real well.

| In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD |

Under the circumstances a good away point, Rovers were poor but are favourites on size alone, whats the betting that FGR, Barnett and Wrexham will wup them as we would if we had a decent bench to change things

Well if Bristol Rovers are the favorites to win this league, after todays game, I would say Town will walk this league. They put out a full team, we had a mish mash team strung together at the last minute, and did not lose. How their keeper kept out that Paddy deflected shot showed it would not be our day today, but the defense held out, and kept the first clean sheet of the season.
Cant wait to see how we do when we have a fully fit squad

Quoted from 1739
Did anyone catch Hursts after match interview? Just curious to know if Arnold, Pitman and Hannah will be available for Tuesday.
Yes I saw it and he did not mention Tuesdays game. That was on BT, I don't know if he said anything on Humberside.

Wow, nice to see a player judged and written off after one competitive game. I actually thought that whilst attacking wise he was limited today, he protected Magnay very well. I think we'll see more of him at home on a wide pitch were he can run at defenders with space. And yes, all injured players will not be ready for Tuesday night
