Wandering To Wycombe

Grimsby Town learnt on Tuesday night that they must travel to Wycombe in the third round of the FA Cup. The Wanderers overcame Millwall in their second round replay at Adams Park by a scoreline of 2-1, with defender Paul McCarthy grabbing the winning goal.

Andy Rammell had given Wycombe an 18th minute lead, only to see it cancelled out seven minutes later by Millwall's Joe Dolan. Former Irish Youth international McCarthy restored the Wanderers lead on the stroke of half-time with a spectacular over-head kick, securing the club a place in the third round for the first time in four years. The clash is scheduled to take place at Adams Park on the weekend of the 6th January.
