Is Danny Coyne on his way out of Blundell Park? Well according to reports from Sky Sports he could be. To where? Is the main speculation that is going on. The 2 main candidates for the Grimsby shot-stopper could be Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers.

If Coyne were to move to Bolton, with Sam Allardyce a big fan, then it would surely depend on whether the Trotters could regain Premiership status via the play-offs.

On the other hand if his move is to Villa, then the deal could be signed and sealed within a few weeks of the end of the Premiership season, but a downside to this for Coyne would be playing second fiddle to England Keeper David James.

Other reports coming from Sky Sports are that Lennie Lawrence is keenly interested in snapping up Rochdale striker Clive Platt, using the money made available through the sale of Danny Coyne.

Platt, 23, signed for Rochdale for £100,000 in September '99 after a months loan spell from Walsall. He has made 70 appearances scoring 17 goals in the League.

Fact and Figures.

Name: Clive Platt

Weight: 12.07
Position: Forward

Signed from: Walsall
