Town Sign Blackburn Defender on Month's Loan

IT HAS EMERGED today that Blackburn Centre Back Marlon Broomes is on his way to Blundell Park in a month long loan deal in time for the trip to Highfield Road this Saturday.
Broomes, an ex England Under 21 International, has been out of favour at the Premiership outfit for some time and is desperate for first team action again and it is rumoured Lennie Lawrence watched Broomes in a mid week reserve match and was impressed with the players work.
Blackburn are willing to listen to offers for Broomes so if he were to impress at Blundell Park a permanent deal may be on the cards and this would be good news for the manager and fans as it is common knowledge the centre back position is a troublesome one for the team and is essential to keep the prospects of a good season alive.
Whether the deal would be made permanent is yet to be seen. Lennie Lawrence exercises a 'try before you buy' policy so Broomes will have to impress to get a permanent offer.
