Save Danny B Campaign!

I will preface this article by saying I thought Danny Butterfield's performance was poor against Arsenal and I have previously posted that he has looked out of sorts for the last couple of home games. However, in my opinion this does not justify the vitriolic remarks being spouted on the MB.
It cannot be a coincidence that his performances seem to be getting worse the longer and more hateful the 'Danny B out campaign' continues. He must surely be aware of the things being said and written about him and this will not be doing his confidence any good.
There are also some crass comments being made as to why Lennie still keeps picking him despite some dodgy performances. I would have thought the obvious and sensible reasons are that:
With the current injury situation LL does not really have the luxury of dropping under-performing players, so it will be doubtful that he will drop DB until some of the other injuries have cleared up.
As most of the anti-brigade have made their comments about Danny I suggest that this subject be closed and we get back to supporting the whole team in an effort to avoid relegation.
