The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Grimsby 0 Millwall 2

TOWN were left one place and point above the drop zone with their loss to playoff contenders Milwall with a game lacking a spark to set it alight. Playing their 3rd game in a week Town's players were feeling the load.

A Dennis Wise shot was blocked by Coyne 2 minutes before half time and Claridge slotted it home.

Claridge also had a shot rebound off the bar but in the 85th minute a foul on Reid by Macca, in the box, brought the game to an end for Town as Claridge sent Coyne the wrong way and scored from the spot.

Town did start brightly and had a few shots throughout the game with Groves missing a sitter from near the penalty spot. Boulding was not very effective in the game but failed to get hardly any service.

The mystery of Livvo continued when Boulding and Cooke, who played well, were subbed and Livvo remained on the field despite his tiredness.
