WE have a look at what our rivals are looking to achieve, their view on the league so far and their opinion of the Mariners. Ian Baker, editor of wsab.co.uk, the Wycombe site, gives his view.

What's your general impression of the season and how has it compared to your expectations?

The first half was excellent. We were deservedly top and playing some of the best football seen in years. The second half has been terrible, off the field problems have dogged us and we have fallen apart. We are now firmly below expectations.

What have been the high and low points of the season?

High points: the two wins over Grimsby, which helped us towards the top of the table.

Low points: our recent run of three straight defeats.

What have been the key factors in your success?

Our earlier form of Nathan Tyson and our midfield.

How would you assess your current form?

Terrible. 3 defeats in 3; 4 in 5; is not promotion form. It needs to be fixed.

What is the general feeling amongst your supporters?

Fear. We look like we have ruined a great chance of promotion and the title.

Would you take a play-off final spot now?

It looks like our only option, unless we turn things around.

What has been your impression of Grimsby Town this season?

Long ball merchants that are surprisingly still up there. We beat Grimsby twice quite comfortably.

Who has been the best team you have played this season?

Our games with Northampton Town have been hard.

What is the key game/s left in your run in?

All of them. We need to start winning again.

What are your predictions for the automatic and play off spots?

1st Carlisle, 2nd Northampton, 3rd Grimsby.

Play Offs: Leyton Orient, Wycombe, Peterborough, Bristol Rovers.
