Proudlock Joins For Good

ADAM Proudlock has joined Grimsby permanently after spending over a month on loan from Darlington. The 27-year-old striker has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Blundell Park, which will keep him at the club until within a few days of his 30th birthday.

Proudlock took a while to find the target, but is now leading scorer for Grimsby with three goals in just eight league games.

It has not been revealed whether Darlington required a transfer fee for Proudlock.

Grimsby also hope to make midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala's loan from Oldham into a permanent deal this week.

The permanent signings are allowing boss Mike Newell to make additional loan signings, with three players having already arrived on loan in the last week.

  • Grimsby's clash at Barnet, which was postponed last Saturday due to a frozen pitch, will now take place on Tuesday February 10.

Grim Rob Says Well done to the GTFC board for making the funds available for these January signings and loans, and to Mike Newell for persuading the players to come. We're giving ourselves every chance of staying up by the sounds of it.
