EVERY bet lost again last week so the Bookies are managing to claw back some of their money they have lost this season, but they'll never get it all back before the season ends even if every tip loses.

Grimsby look like they are going to rest a few players for the game against Luton tonight, so it looks like it may be more of a pre-season friendly game. There might be a few goals with neither side especially looking to win and nothing much at stake.

Championship

  • Leicester v Birmingham - away win (5.81, Pinnacle). Leicester have picked up just 2 points from the last 6 games, and are on a dreadful run. City have got 11 points from 6 and also have won their last 2 away games.

    League One

  • Brentford v Portsmouth - away win (6.25, Bet Victor). Pompey still have a slim change of avoiding the drop but their big improvement in form looks to have come too late. Portsmouth are unbeaten for the last five games. Brentford are also strong, especially at home, but Pompey will be fighting with the desperation of condemned men and could well pull off a surprise win.

  • Tranmere v Hartlepool - away win (5.0, Marathon). Hartlepool like Portsmouth look doomed. Their mini revival fizzled out but they won last week against Bury and head to a Tranmere side struggling with injuries and in terrible form. Rovers have fallen completely out of the play-off picture and have lost five of the last six games.

    League Two

  • Southend v Bristol Rovers - away win (3.55, Marathon). Both teams have no chance of going up or down, but Rovers have the momentum after a terrific run to pull themselves away from the bottom. Southend are without a win in the last six; the Pirates in contrast have won four from six.

  • Burton Albion v Plymouth - away win (4.6, Boyle Sports). Plymouth's recent form is outstanding but they are still not there with only 49 points to their names. Albion have won 4 out of 6 and face Burton who have won just 2 out of 6.

    Blue Square Premier League

  • Luton v Grimsby - over 4.5 goals (6.35, 10 Bet). Neither team is under pressure to win or lose this game and it is live on TV so the onus on both clubs will be to put a spectacle on for the cameras. Grimsby in particular are going to use it as an opportunity to rest players, so defensively an unfamiliar team may be put out, and Luton could benefit from that.
