Town Kick off at BP against Aldershot

GRIMSBY begin their 2013/14 campaign against former league side Aldershot Town, managed by Rob Scott's brother Andy. The Mariners have only won their first game once in three attempts since they became a non-league side, that was their first Conference game at eventual Champions Crawley, which they won 1-0.
Grimsby then get Gateshead out the way in high summer, after all the postponements last year in Tyneside, they'll be glad the fixture is extremely unlikely to be called off. Town then head to Kent to play Welling, before returning to Blundell Park to take in Aldershot. In general August looks a relatively easy start compared to some of the fixture lists they have faced in the last three years.
With Grimsby and Lincoln both staying in the division after flirting with promotion and relegation respectively, the Christmas double-header is back in place with Town returning to Sincil Bank on Boxing Day before the return match at Blundell Park on New Year's Day.
The season ends with matches against three of the less fancied sides: Alfreton, Hyde and Barrow.
