Lincoln v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 18/01/2019

GRIMSBY have signed Blackburn Rovers defensive midfielder Joe Grayson on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has yet to make a first-team appearance for Rovers and can play in defence as well as in the centre of the park.

Akin Famewo (injured) and Andrew Fox (suspended) are unavailable to Grayson may be called upon to sure up the defence, or be used on the bench as a utility player. Fox is leaving the club at the end of the month to go to the USA where his wife is based.

Midfielder Harry Clifton is a doubt after limping off in the home defeat by Macclesfield last week. Centre backs Danny Collins, Harry Davis and Alex Whitmore are all available.

High-flying Lincoln have boosted their squad with the signings of defenders Cian Bolger for Fleetwood and James Brown from Millwall, the latter on loan. However, defender Jason Shackell and midfielder Bruno Andrade are both suspended after their red cards at Swindon at the weekend.

Grimsby have sold their entire allocation of 1,550 tickets for what is certain to be a very hostile atmosphere. Town have only won 1 of the last 8 against the Imps.
