Artell Signs New Deal

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 08/07/2025

GRIMSBY manager David Artell has signed a new three-year deal with the club, which will keep him at Blundell Park until 2028. Artell has established himself at the club and guided the Mariners to a ninth-place finish last season.

In prior years, Town had struggled at the wrong end of the table, which was where Grimsby found themselves when he arrived in November 2023. Artell spent five years at former club Crewe, whom he guided to promotion from League Two, something the 44-year-old would love to emulate at Blundell Park.

There are fewer than 4 weeks until the new campaign begins, with pre-season fixtures already underway, including a match at Grimsby Borough tonight.
