The Opposition

Overview

Paul Ince’s MK Dons are in the top few and with a game in hand over leaders Peterborough and only 2 points separating them it’s a possibility that the most controversial club in the League could win their first title since their franchise creation a few years ago. Ince, whose managerial career started brilliantly at Macclesfield, has moved further south to - however you see it - a club which has the facilities and the logistics to grow and expand rapidly. Now in their new home half impressive, half built and less then half full Stadium Mk is fairly impressive and shows a part of Winkleman's vision for the new club. With 11 fixtures left and games against Peterborough and Hereford left to play the championship is still up for grabs for the least favourite club in the league.

The Team
After Mcleod left for pastures new in a million pound deal to south east London Ince has had to find a replacement to the talisman who pushed MK close to promotion last year. In Mark Wright (left) Ince may have found the perfect replacement since his arrival in August the former Walsall and Nuneaton midfielder has scored 11 so far this season and after only 23 games played his ratio is a very impressive number which I cant be bothered to do the maths for but either way he scores more then our strikers do and has good support from his fellow midfielders such as former Wolves and Hearts star Colin Cameron and the ex-Liverpool trainee Alan Navarro.

Key Player
Willy Gueret . Has been involved in every game this season for MK and has kept the most clean sheets in the league and the experienced French man has been needed on several occasions to shut out opposition and keep hold of several wins and vital points. Since starting in Le Mans then Millwall and later Swansea after joining MK Dons in August Gueret has been instrumental in helping the progress of MK Dons promotion push. One of the true good keepers of League One and a Two Gueret is a problem Towns strike force will have to overcome him.
